  When we think, we do so in patterns, shapes, numbers and much more. Thought, as an entity doesn't have a physical form. Here is where sketching steps in; it provides a visual identity to an idea. Sketching provides two solutions - The first, is the very creation of an idea - providing the idea a form, color, texture and more physical and tangible attributes. Secondly, its a manner of iteratively designing something - the very act of sketching makes us think in multiple modes before it enters the real world. Storytelling is one of the primary aims of a sketch - it exists as a manner of communicating complex ideas through a series of simple strokes. Its meditative quality also helps generate ideas with a sense of inherent passion, something that we call "style". When we sketch, we do so with a raw understanding, the sketch never starts perfect.
